A. Why does life have to have a purpose? In any event,
if there is a purpose, no living person has ever discovered what it
is. So, if it’s impossible to discern, why waste time in the
pursuit? Isn’t that basically defeating the purpose? Why
not just accept life as a wonderful mystery? Do you really need
to know your place in the cosmos, or to know how the universe
began? Instead, be astonished at the universe and its
complexities. Marvel at it the way a child marvels at a magic
show. And, in the end, that’s exactly what life is – the most
wonderful magic show. Sure, part of you wants to know how a
magician does those fantastic illusions. But you also know that
if you learn the “trick,” the wonder will go out of it. The fun
will fade. It’s an illusion; that’s all you need or want to
know. Some things are better left unexplained. Life is one
of those things.
